Uganda Catholic Management and Training Institute (UCMTI) was founded by the Grail Community – an International movement of Lay Women committed to offering services through various professions in the spirit of the Gospel. The Episcopal Conference, officially established it in 1969 as a National Training Institute. UCMTI is located in Kampala on Lubaga Hill and based in East Africa. It is not only training and serving the Church and lay people from Uganda, but also from Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Eritrea, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.

Mission
To offer quality training to school leavers and up-graders: clergy, religious and laity; in social, business and vocational competences for employability, entrepreneurship and integral development.
- To Train high quality personnel in various competences.
- To instil integrity and ethical values among Trainees.
- To enhance planned and purposeful development working through the Church and other organizational structures.
- To provide demand driven, specialized thematic training and organizational development services for groups and organizations.
- To Liase with other Stakeholders within the education framework for delivering quality tertiary education services.
